Happy Fourth Everyone! This is my absolute favorite day of the year (aside from Christmas). I love the spirit of the day, the constant partying, good food, great friends all celebrating the place i love most: America. We truely are a blessed nation: I am PROUD to be an American!
Started by attending Marlena's home ward breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, and chocolate milk? Mmmm... great way to start off the day. We headed over to Wally-world (Wal-mart) to pick up a few things for the ward get together that evening and ended up having a ton of fun with the toys and assessories.
Should we go as cowboys?
Or maybe master jedi's!
How bout a Hawaiian theme? It's American!

We each ended up getting $1.50 4th of July star flip flops and beads from the dollar tree.
'Bout 3pm Jerica and Mattie and I headed out to the classic 50th Ward spot in Idaho Falls in front of the Shilo Inn (with a quick stop at Panda Express). Gives us a great view of the fireworks.
With it being soooo early, we had lots of time to kill. We laid out blankets and enjoyed the fabulous heat and sunshine...
We talked around the grill and munchie table...
I even practiced my recently aquired round off- now to learn how to do the back flip at the end...
We fired off some small fireworks and light a few sparklers to pass the time.
Then about 10 pm (yes, that's when it offically gets dark around here)...
FIREWORKS!
Though the show is always spectacular, the traffic is notoriously bad after the show, everyone knows to expect a 1-3 hour delay. We were waiting for the truck come over so we could load up the ice chests and grill, but that too in and off itself took over an hour.
So we just played frisbee and threw around a volleyball, till after midnight.
FINALLY, a little after 1am we got to Rexburg (thanks to some crafty navigating the highway and back roads of Rigby by the one and only Sean Nicolason). A fun filled, fabulous day all around.
What did you guys do? :D
