What's the BEST part about living with a Mexican?

Homemade Tamales!

No store bought goods in this recipe... Ruth and Raquel and a couple of their friends started with a table full of fresh produce, bags of flour, baking powder, and corn husks. Soon the aroma's of spices and peppers and sweet pinapple filled the apartment. They even made their own red and green sauce from scratch. Oh man it was so good.

Excellent work Ruthie!! Oh, they also made some kind of hot mexican chocolate drink which was fabulous as well. I'm sure gonna miss my Ruthie! 4 semesters of rooming together sure go by fast! Love you chica! Gracias por teaching me espanol!
