The Rexburg Straw Maze

Wow, i'm really far behind in my blogging... this was at the beginning of October.

Colin's two sisters were coming up to visit one weekend and we wanted to show them all the great fun stuff that goes on around here. What better way to get into the harvest season that to get completely lost in a large, super tall straw maze! So, with Colin, his two sisters, myself, and Becky, us Mesa folks went traveled about 10 minutes to get to this popular attraction. It was a Thursday night so it wasn't haunted, but it was still way fun! Jennifer (colin's sis) took a very strategic method on tackling this maze. We'd go in groups down a path, if it split into different sections, she'd stand at the starting point and send us all down the different paths, if it was a dead end. We'd mark it with a line in the ground, if it was still "live" we'd mark it with a small pile of gathered hay. :) It was great!
Towards then end, we were able to time ourselves and get through this rather large obsticale in approximately 2.5 minutes, but understand, that's 2.5 minutes of pure sprinting action. It was so fun. :) It's like to see it when it's haunted though. I'd think that'd be fun, in a more startling sort of scary humor, not the freak yourself out so that you have nightmares for weeks.

An hour later, with straw in our hair and dirt on our cheeks, we made our way back to the car laughing and commenting about the fun highlights from the night's activity. Rumor is, the owners switch up the maze every now and then... i may have to go back again and soon!
