Good news! I took my computer in and they were able to fix it! It works great now!
My camera i'm still battling with. I talked with my FHE brother who is looking at it and tearing it apart for me and he said he got the lens to work, but now something else is broken.
:(
Grrr.... ah well, luckily i've been blessed with a job that allows me to have the money i need to possible purchase a new one.
