Another Right of Passage into Adulthood

So this past week my camera made it's last debue in Kacie's limited techn. collection. I was photographing some of my better pieces in figure drawing and somehow it got stuck and lens refuses to come back in and makes a horrid grinding sound when ever i try to turn it back on.

What happened to all the good quality stuff? Some of my mom's wedding gifts have just died within the past couple years; my camera and other tech stuff die after only a couple years of operation. Lame.

Well, after contemplating what i should do i and doing a little research, i discovered that to send my camera in for repairs costs just about as much as getting a new camera- so i'm using my resources, and letting my tech savey FHE brother take a look at it. If he's able to fix it, GREAT! I'm sorely in need of it for my art class, and if not, the Forth of July sales are coming up and hopefully i can replace it with not too much of a dent in my bank account.

My laptop has also been giving me grief and i have had to do the same thing, taking it in, asking professionals for their opinions, calling mom, doing some research, etc. So hopefully i can figure out exactly what the issue is get it replaced quickly.

After pondering this rather unfortunate ordeal and getting a good laugh out of it, i realized that this is definitely another right of passage into adulthood. No mommy to hand my camera to, then get it back shiny and just like new. I've got to figure out how to best fix my electronics for the cheapest cost possible. I've got to use actually use the brain i've been blessed with and figure out my own problems! It's kind of rewarding in a weird sort of way, proves that i'm becoming more and more independent and slowly progressing my way into ULTIMATE adulthood! :)

Oh, and by the way, thanks mom and dad for making all these tedious decisions for me up until this point! I love you!
