Simple Joys

Text messages from my mom

Thursday
"What's your simple joy for the day?
Mine's watching Weston look in awe at Nate's #39 jersey which no one has worn but Nate and then putting it on. Seeing Jacob read his scriptures for quite a while. And having Faith ask her dad for a blessing to help her not be nervous playing her violin at ASU and taking the ELP test tomorrow. Simple joys, they make me smile. How bout you? Love you, Mom"

Friday Morning
"First varsity game. He's excited, I'm nervous. 143"
Friday Evening
K: "Hey mom, what's the score?"
M: "Dad and I went dancing"
K: " What!? That's so cute!"
M: "Free lessons. And it was fun. They tried to sell us but we told them all our money goes to ID"
(Note: After reading ID, it took me a while to realize she meant IDAHO! I was thinking, "they're legal, why do they need I.D.?")

Love you mommy!!

Thanks for being my best friend!
