Surprise!!

Our parents really out did themselves this year, as we were passing Knott's Berry, my dad puts on his playful face and was like, "Hey, let's go to Knott's, look, it's just right there! Come on! Let's go!" We pulled into our hotel parking lot that just "happened" to be right across the street from it.
We unloaded, checked in, filled our cabinets full of food, ate, then ran over for some serious fun!! What a absolutely beautiful day to go there! and seeing as it was a Friday and all the regular crowds were either in school or work, the line were incredibly short! We could run up the ramps and just hop right into the next available cart. It was nice to be able to go a couple times on a ride before a show time. We were able to do a lot that way.
The first ride on the menu was an insanely fast and loopy ride called The Bullet! It was absolutely amazing! Nate, Weston, Jacob, and I made our way to the front of the ride so as to be able to sit in the very FRONT row. Kind of a crazy way to start out at Knotts, i normally don't ride front but oh, it was Sooooo worth it on this one!

(Note: due to the extreme fun i was having as well as the nature of the rides, i did not manage to get too many photos of this trip. We captured a few photos on the lesser extreme rides.)

Jacob surprised us all and went on absolutely everything us older kids went on, he sat front row on Ghost rider with me (an insanely fast and amazing old wooden roller coaster, it had some of the steepest drops i have every been on!) and went repeatedly with us on our favorite, THE BULLET and the new cowboy horse ride, Pony Express. He is one brave little boy!

Who's driving whom?

Faith and Mom weren't too keen on some of the more extreme rides, so we mixed up the day by attending many of their shows, watching other insane people, roaming their many craft presentation and shops, and going on some simpler rides. After all, there is only so many times you can flip yourself around like that (in a row) before you start to feel sick! Nearing the end of the day, we were wiped out. I came home with a HUGE headache and that strange feeling of still being whipped around on a roller coaster despite having already left the park. Ha ha! after drinking lots of water, taking some ibuprofen, and getting a good night's rest i was up and ready for the next day at Universal Studios!
