Thanksgiving with my other Family

My FHE group is pretty much amazing! My sisters are pretty much all about parties and get togethers (They have pancake night EVERY Thursday for us) They currently are planning our Ward Closing Social Talent show skit....we'll see how that goes, should be fun!

So this is a post all about our absolutely fabulous turkey dinner before we left. For FHE the week before, we passed out assignments, "you have pie, you have sides, you have veggies, you have the gravy, etc." Well, we brought all of this on our typical pancake night and had our fill of tastey holiday foods! Good practice you see.

Here's Peter Pipper (Yes, that's his real name) with the cerimonal cut of the Thanksgiving Turkey. His grandma who lives in the neighborhood made this wonderful turkey for us. We bought it and she flavored it up and cooked it for us. MMMmmm.... we made a card thanking her for her service rendered towards us.

Dishes anyone?

When dinner was through, no one even thought of dessert, but a couple hours later it was sliced and served. Rachel made these turtle truffles and they were just so easy to grab a handful and partake of their sweet goodness... that mainly was our dessert. :)

As fun as it was, next time i don't think we should make so much food right before we leave for home. There was so much leftovers it was being passed on to those who were staying in town the longest (maybe a day or two?) Come to think of it, i think we still have stuffing in the fridge.
