PROJECT: HAKES (Proposition)

Overview: My goal is to draw every single intermediate Hakes family member (2+1+1+8+8+9+5+6=40) , possibly in different drawing techniques, possibly two poses for everyone (one standard portrait face, then one expression that captures their personality, i could even do a full body shot to practice my figure drawing if the family member would let me!) I'd take these multiple drawing and combine them into a binder or book of some sorts, one page fore every member. If anyone would like copies, i could probally arrange that.
Estimated deadline: Who knows! Whenever i get there! Could take years, but hey, it would be way fun for me!
Approximate time estimate for each portrait: 4 hours for good detail, full value. 1-2 hour for the basic quick portrait/full figure.

Why?: I'm just trying to figure out a good project for me that will keep me busy during my off track. I'd hate to lose the stanama i've built up of approximately 3 hours of art every day. I'm just getting good! And i need the practice.

What inspired it?: Over thanksgiving i did 4 quick sketchs (Erin's girls, and Porter) I just remember my drawings being so off and terrible and i wanted to redo them. Then it just sparked, what if i just did all of the family and made a book with all those drawings! I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping me out!

What am i asking from the family?: Just give me 5-10 minutes per person for a quick and painless photo shoot. I'd even be willing to come to your house and take them there. (Randy and Erin... we'll work something out!) If there are some older cousins or adults who would like to hold still and do a live modeling, bless them! I would love that! The drawings always turn out so much more like the person. I refuse to do kids under 10 live, they just dont' know the meaning of FREEZE! :)
