6 days of pure fun on the Birtcher's favorite lake! It's an absolutely beautiful lake that most people do not go to due to the rather rough roads that take you to it. So for much of the week, there was us, and only another boat or two on the lake. it was wonderful to have it to ourselves!

We had a hotel room so we could retreat there anytime we got too weary of the heat or too famished to continue to play. On Sunday we held a Sunday meeting where Dad spoke about the mission field for the benifit of David Hakes who we had brought along. After that we had a great lesson provided by Justin, Nate, Robbie, and David. It was very neat and spiritual experience; it lasted for 2 hours.

Justin had his friend Robbie Zimmerman come with us, he brought his two SEADOO's/jetskis that were so much fun to zip across the water it.

Gary and Lisa's family came up on Saturday and Monday to enjoy the lake with us. Saturday their boat broke, but was able to get it fixed and return Monday with the most of the gang and even a few friends!

Doesn't Robbie just look like he could be a BIRTCHER? We've already mistaken him for Justin several times already.

With the boys beards growing, they all decided to shave it into something "cool". Nate chose the "chin-strap"

Justin sported a "goat"

Even Grandma and Grandpa Hakes tagged along for a day with Grandma Dell. Unfortunately they arrived at the time when all of us kiddos were dead on our feet, so most of us crashed in the hotel room while they all went out for a senic ride on the boat.
So arriving home Thursday,we're all a little browner, redder, and even a little pink on the cheeks. We did fairly well considering it was 6 full days in the heat.
This years success is as follows:
Dad: A great Sea-Doo Driver
Mom: Excellent Skiier and Sea-Doo Driver
Justin: Admirable Jumps on the Wakeboard, tube, and Sea-Doo
Kacie: Master at Sea-Doo, 1 Ski
Nate: Cleared wake on Wakeboard
Weston: Wakeboard, Ski, and Sea-Doo
Faith: Learned how to get up on Skiies- went for roughly a half mile
Jacob: Learned skiies, got up for roughly 8 feet
Robbie: Learned the Wakeboard, already masterful Sea-Doo Driver
David: Got up on Wakeboard, Sea-Doo, and successfully killed everyone on the 3 man tube (Myself included) :)

Sounds like a lot of fun! I love Sea Doo's. How many hotel rooms does it take to fit that many people? I probably wouldn't make it past the first mile on the windy road to get there! (I am MAJORLY prone to motion sickness.) Glad you're having such a fun time on your vacation Kacie! Thanks for sharing pictures of your adventure.
