White Glove

Yup, it's almost time to come home... and that means we GET to clean our apartment and make it nice and shiney for the next owners! Ya.... let's just say that we put in about 6-7 hours each which makes it approx. 25 hours worth of man labor to clean our entire apartment according to white glove standards! wow. Well, seeing as this is my second time through the proceedures my roommates kind of looked to me to see how things go. We whipped out our cleaning supplies and grabbed some paper towels and went to work! It was kind of fun actually. We pulled out the music and laughed and joked while we worked. It was quite a job... i got a blister on my thumb! Insanity.... but we passed with flying colors! now we just have to keep it that clean till friday when we actually move out. Ugh...

BYU Cleaning checks taught me everything I know about cleaning (sorry to my mom, but she was way too nice in her inspections.) You're learning well!

Hmmm... my mom prepared me really well in comparison. My other roommates did their jobs but really didn't finish it or to the ultimate extent that it needed. I had to pull them back out of bed and throw a sponge in their hands and kindly direct them back to correct their errors. So thanks mom! All those years of cleaning my room to "mom-approved" inspections really pays off. Honestly, it's a great skill to have.
