Well, this past week has been utter insanity! Here's some of the greatest stress/ proudest moments of this week.
-Getting an A on both my art final projects! (you probably don't realize just how hard that is)
-Finish packing up my apartment and transferring my 3 large, very heavy buckets over to my new apartment with only 45 mins and a final paper to finish before my next class. (fyi: I did finish my paper- but towards the end i was just putting stuff down in order to have something to bring to class... ended up getting 49/50! Boo ya!)
-Beating my final run (1.5 miles) time goal by almost a minute! and getting over a 100% in the class.
-staying up till past 2 am trying to finish projects and final papers... every night.
-Nothing beats the immense joy of crossing a task off your "to do" list.
-spending a ridiculous .80 cents a candy bar cuz i need comfort food... chocolate! (Yes, i am Pam's daughter through and through)
-taking random left overs and creating interesting food combinations. Some of them actually turned out, some i had to persevere through....
-cleaning, cleaning, cleaning...
-saying goodbye to all your friends and wishing them a very merry Christmas!
-seeing the funny ways student's release their stress (ex: i was sitting crisscrossed on the floor putting the finishing touches on my art final, when all of a sudden our door bursts open and four random students with their hoods on and scarfs over their faces come running in acting all "super agent" like and started slapping sticky notes with random sayings on them all over our walls- two seconds later they were out the door and hitting the next apartment)
-getting on facebook and finding that 80% of your friends were online at 1am.
-running from apartment to apartment without a jacket or shoes. (Sarah wanted chocolate milk from the vending machine in the lobby. So i run across barefoot thinking it will take two seconds- it's only like 10 steps from my front door- but it wasn't working so Sarah picked me up and carried me on her back from our dorm to the one below us- they didn't have it so she came back to our and started a vending machine war- she won, but that's a whole different story to tell. toes were freezing! )
- taking back expensive textbooks and getting money back.
-running so low on food that i haven't had a normal breakfast in two weeks. (breakfasts are usually, rice, oatmeal packets, or the greenbean casserol from the night before. Sometimes spaggettii or the last little bit of chicken- hey it's food)
-Having your Design and Color teacher request scans of your work to use as examples for the next semester.
-waiting for 2 1/4 hours to get to the silly mat cutter. (I find it insanely ironic that this school has a large student body majoring in some form of art and we only have ONE mat cutter. How does that happen? The line was out the door! and some people had to cut out like 16 mats at once! ugh- lessons of patience, but hey- i met some really cool people in line so it all works out.)
-sliding on the ice in the parking lot just cuz it's fun. :)
-Walking out of a class knowing you did a good job.
-knowing that this time tommorrow i will be sleeping in my own bed! My room! My house! Yes!
