Wow! What a game!

Mountain View vs. Mesa

Wow! Such an amazing game! Toughest rivals. They were such a hard team, BIG guys.
Here's the gist....

1st Quarter: Mesa 3, MV 0
2nd Quarter: Mesa 10, MV 0
3rd Quarter: Mesa 10, MV 0
4th Quarter: Mesa 10, MV 14! BOO YAH!

Let's go back to the beginning....

So OK, we're like, shoot- we can't lose to mesa; we get a touchdown a couple minutes into the fourth quarter. OK, so that ensures that we didn't get creamed, we would only lose by 3 points. Then we get closer, and closer , and closer to the end zone.... with only 3 yards to go!~ The crowd goes nuts! We could win this! BUT... we have to get past these giants. They've stopped us every other time, what's so different about this one? 4th down, still can't make it. It's a make or break situation. Both sides go wild! Screaming and yelling for there teams! "DEFENSE!" ; "GO TOROS!" ; "DEFENSE!!!!" ; "SHOW THEM WHO'S TURF THEIR ON!!!!!!!" It was insane!

Their they gooooo........ oh. only gained a yard .... But that means we get first down! -yes! Starts all over again. (Insert above captions once again) But this time we get the touchdown! I was so excited! (Plus, it gave me a perfectly good excuse to hug really cute guys. :) Hey I'm a girl, it's how their mind works) Now the only problem is we have an entire minute, exactly 1:00, to keep them off after angering them profusely. I tell you, that was the most excruciating minute of my life! Nate was playing all through this point. (He practically played the whole game). But they held them off. WE WON! HA!

We had a great party afterwards at our house. Nate and David were practically glowing the whole night. Who could blame them? ( I did feel bad though cuz we just defeated our cousins once again (Gary and Lisa's family)- but they did come to the party afterwards! I was so proud of them!)

p.s. we also beat them in the seminary rivarly scripture reading the week before. MV: 12.91 average minutes per student, Mesa: 11.71. Man, toros are born with competitive spirits. :)
