Wow, what an interesting day last Tuesday. So i go to third hour (A.P. Art) and my teacher is like "Kacie, everyone is talking about you!" And i'm thinking, "Why in the world is her second hour talking about me? I didn't do anything worth noticing." So she continued to tell me they were talking about the above picture i drew in 9th grade. I had a scrapbook assignment due that day for government (a simplified version of the constitution) and there was an award for the best cover, so i glued a copy of this picture on the front. My parter just happened to show anyone and everyone it before turning it in to my government teacher before school started, who in turn showed numerous people, including the principle; all without my knowledge. So after art, i go see my government teacher for a Close Up trip meeting during lunch who said she was so proud of it, she showed the librarian who immeadiatly went to the computer to look up scholarships for me to enter it into, and the principal- who personally checked my schedule to make sure i was in AP Studio Art, and talked with my art teacher just to make sure i was currently her student. Unbelievable. My teacher is asking for a poster size copy of it to frame and hang in her room! And then through out the day, my fellow students would come up to me and tell me i'm such a good artist, one even asked me to help her with some psycology project where she needed a quick sketch. Needless to say, it made me feel good. :) And just to think, they are raving about a picture i drew in my freshmen year!
