Softball Ooops :)

Young Women's Softball sesson is here again. *Lovely* My ward has been stake champions for 4 years running and they expect the same this year. I used to dominate but now i just stink! :) Well not too badly, but i can't throw the ball worth a darn. :) As proof of my complete lack of talent in this area here's a funny story...
Tuesday night. Game starts at 7. I'm trying to find a glove in my house. Shouldn't be hard, we have like 6. Well, those 6 decided to hide from me and i became late for the game. Not a big deal but i need to be there. So my mom found one hidden in Weston's room and i scramble out the door. I get there 10 minutes late and hurry to the field. My name goes on the batting list and what do ya know?, i'm next. So i grab a bat and try a few swings. I'm completly not warmed up but i just need to make it to first base, how hard could it be? Well, knowing me, i've got to make things harder than they are. :) The ball come flying toward me and *crack* I hit it way out there! :) YES! Turn..... Take one step.... pants too long..... my feet get tangled... i hit the dirt. :) Yah, crawling to base just doesn't work. I get up and hightail it to first. It was easy, i was still safe. Such a great way to start the sesson. :) Got a lot of grief from that. :) Ah well, life's not exciting with out a few good bloopers to share. :P

Funny story! We are enjoying having Grandma and Grandpa here, so I'll have to share your story with them. Hey, at least you got the hit! A "costume malfunction" can easily be corrected, but sheer athletic talent...that cannot be taught!
