You know, the coolest feeling in the world is being independent. My mom dropped me off at Michael's craft store yesterday so i could pick up some things for my art this summer. Not only was i able to browse the iles alone, picking up the many things i needed (it reminded me of grocery shopping), but then being able to pay for it all with my own, hard earned money. It was the neatest feeling that i could get the things i needed and not having to rely on my mom's money to pay for it all. It also made me thing twice about what i was purchasing- " Oh i could really use some more cardstock for my scrapbook, but you know what, i don't need it now, it can wait. Maybe it will go on sale." (Oh no! I sound like my mother!) When i get the car, it will only get worse!

Good for you. You'll feel even more independent when you drive yourself to Michael's and do all of the above. Your mom has taught you well about money, and it will serve you well your whole life. I know too many grown women who still haven't figured out "waiting until it goes on sale."
