My new creative outlet

So working on campus as a cashier, i've got to see a million different styles and fashion and i've become obsessed! Not in the sense that i go out and spend money on new clothes and current styles, but in the sense that i've been sketching out ideas and patterns and want to make a dress or two! Call me crazy.
I found this one really cute website that has the dresses above. They are vintage inspired but taken with a modern twist and i love 'em! The only reason i don't just grab my check book and order one is because 1) these dresses are so overpriced it's insane, and 2) they look long but when shown on actual people, these are more like mini skirts. So looking at them i figured, hey, they really don't look all that hard to make. These dressess would be SO cute if i just added a cardigan or shawl, and a cute pair of flats, it's so simple to make them modest and i wouldn't have to sew sleeves!! It would make the proccess so much easier, for one who has only a limited sewing experience. Just as soon as i get home i am going to rummage through some old patterns and create one that i like. :) Anyone have an old stash of patterns i can sort through?
