I guess you could consider this as the Formal Dance of the semester seeing as we don't have Homecoming, etc.
About an hour and half or so before the boys came to get us, we both were in the bathroom area teasing and primping our hair! I did both Alora and mine- sat her down in front of the mirror and just went at it! i just loved how well it came out! After carefully curling and pinning her blonde hair into an elegant gathering in the back, we pinned fake red roses and curled silver ribbon all throughout her updo. It was simply beautiful and fun if i do say so myself!
Because i was having so much fun with Alora's hair, i sort of ran out of time to do mine...by the time Colin came over i had half my makeup and a paper to finish up! :) It turned out beautiful as well but i would've liked to spend another 15-20 minutes on it and 5 minutes to wrap up and turn in my homework.
The dance was held in the Hart Gym, which was great, yet kind of sad. Our largest meeting area is so small for the dance, it was just crowded i guess. I'm sure once the new auditorium is completed we'll have a much bigger area to work with. There was the BYU-I Jazz band, the Collegit Dancers, and some BYU-I singers. The music was great and so fun to dance to! A lot of it was swing and more of the classical Dance 180 stuff. Luckily i already know the class and it was a lot of fun! :)
