Preference Formal

Wow, ok... this was one of the funnest nights of my life! Preference is a girl ask guy and so i asked Brian if he would be so kind as to go with me. :) Being the gentleman that he is, he most graceously accepted my offer!

The day of the dance Maria, Cherise, and I ran over to the store and purchased some items for the night's dinner. It was very nice in that each girl brought an item to go with the dinner- that way not one or two girls were stuck with all the cooking, etc.

That's me finishing the gravy... :)

Maria gave me a good scare in that 7pm sharp she was to arrive at my apartment so i could arrange her hair. Well, 7:28 comes around and she's still hasn't arrived. So i run over to her place and find her just getting out of the shower! I'm like, "Maria! You know i'm picking Brian up at 8!" She'll like, "I know! I'm sorry, i'll get changed really fast!" So i run back, heat up the curling iron and grab my hairspray- in she runs 3 minutes later- With wet hair! So we plug in the blowdryer and rush to get through that. Anyways, 20 minutes later- her hair is like 1/3 done curling. Shoot! So i call Brian and explain to him the situation and told him i would be 10-15 minutes late. He just laughed and said, "Well, I'm late every time so i guess it's your turn!" So with that extra time, I barely finished, then ran out the door. :)

Dinner was crazy in that 2 of the guys in our group had a soccer game that lasted longer than expected, making it so that two of the girls didn't have time to get ready at all, so we (Maria/Devon and Brian/I) ended up going to the dance first, meeting up with the others at the dance about an hour later, dancing, then going back at like 11pm for dinner!

The fun part was that we got to blind fold our dates and lead them up the hill to Becky's place for the dinner. We got to hold their hands, spin them around, ditch them and whistle at them for them to follow, and occassionally lead them in the incorrect direction just to confuse them. It was great fun! Never fear- they were in good hands. :)

Dinner was great! Had A LOT of fun! Curfew snuck up on us though- and we had to depart. I was all of 10 minutes late and they had already locked our dorm gate. So we said a quick goodbye outside the lobby door.

Brian was an amazingly fun date- oh! and he even got the perfect tie to match my dress without even realizing it! I never told him the color of my dress and he chose to wear a golden tie and a very nice vest that worked absolutely perfect!
