I'm HOME!

Surprise!

10:34 pm
(MY HOUSE)
Mom: Hey Nate, Greg, come help me unload the groceries.
Nate: K.
Mom: Nate, Greg, come help me unload the groceries...
(both walk outside with mom and dad, talking about their day)
Blah, blah, blah
Nate/ Greg: (walk to the back of jeep and reach to grab stuff) "What the... you putting groceries in luggage now?"
Kacie: "Heeelllloooo!" (pop out of back seat, climb up and out, give Nate a huge hug)
Nate: "What? Send her back! Send her back!" (*chuckle*, grabs my luggage and we all go inside)
Yup, that's right. I'm Home! Surprise! And no the school didn't kick me out, i wasn't tired of Idaho (I love it there!) and no I'm not on vacation... I'm out for Summer! I get seven glorious weeks home; the original plan was for me to stay up there but about a month ago, i was pricing out what it would cost me to stay up there and to come home. Turns out i save a couple hundred bucks coming home. So i called mom and we arranged the whole thing- and made her promise not to tell anyone! So here's a few of my favorite surprise reactions of my family and friends.
Faith:
Faith was sound asleep, curled up on my side of the bed. I come rushing in, and start rolling on top of her. She moans and groans as she returns to consciousness. By this time, i have my back on the top of her stomach, eyes looking up at her while she's looking down at me. she's so lethargic. :) I'm gently tap her head saying, "Hellooo Faith! It's me! Wake up! Your not dreaming faith, your not dreaming faith! Hey, get off! You're on my side of the bed! Helllloooo!" I roll over so she can get a better look at who her attacker is. She confusedly says, "Kacie?" a moment later.... "Kacie!" and she reaches over to give me a huge hug. :)
Jacob:
I rush over to Jacob's bed after successfully waking up Faith. I hop on and start rolling on top of him. "Jacob! Hellloooo!, Jacob i'm home! Wake up! I want a teddy bear hug!" He moans and groans a lot, and keeps saying in a soft muffled voice, "go away!...., go away!... leave me alone, stop it......." and he'd fall back asleep. Well, we finally got him up, but guess where he goes? He runs to mom and gives her a hug, runs to the bathroom, then goes back to bed. Well, some reception. :)
Next morning.
I turn the corner planning on shaking him awake. And low and behold, he's already up and sitting crosslegged on his bed! Jacob: "Kacie? What are you doing here?" :)
Weston:
Weston's is just returning from Camp (Saturday morning).
*Ding Dong!*
- Jacob: "I got it!"
-Kacie: (sneeks behind the door)
door opens
-Weston: "Hey buddy! (Faith round's the corner) I've got presents for you all" :)
-Kacie: (slowly peaks her head from behind the door)
-Weston: "Yah, it was so much fun, I... what? (double take) Kacie? what are you doing home?"
(He he he, followed with a huge hug, man- that kid has grown like a foot since i've left. i felt like i was hugging Nate or something)
Heather:
Now here's a funny story. On my way home ( I took a three hour drive with my roomate to Salt Lake the caught my flight from there) Heather calls me. I'm like, shoot- what do i tell her? So i just pick up the phone and keep everything causal. She askes me what i'm doing.... "Oh, nothing... just chilling." then after a while Heather asks me, "Hey, are you in a car? I here wind?" (I'm like ah!) Kacie: "Oh ya, we're just getting some ice cream." (ya, when i get home i'll find some) It worked and i quickly got off the phone before she could guess anymore. :)
Saturday:
We send Weston to the door, "Hey is Heather here?"
H: "Yah i'm here, what's up (she's sitting at the computer desk)"
W: "Well, my mom needs to talk to you..."
H: "Have her come in."
W: " No, we have to show you... :)"
H: "Fine, (She grugingly gets out of her chair and comes to the door) Now what's up?...."
(I come bursting out from behind the bushes and practically attack her in my excitment!"
K: "Heather!!!!!" ,
H: "Kacie!!!!"
Together: "Ahhhhhh!" :)
Robin:
I stayed over at Heather's house, visting with all the cousins and catching up- eating Aunt Lisa's fresh homemade bread. MMmmmm... It was so good. Again- props to Lisa! We call Robin and tell her she needs to get over here right away... they have to show her something.
R: "Can't you come over here?"
H: "Nope, i can't drive."
R: "Is it because of the thing you have to show me?"
H: "Yup- that's part of it"
R: "Ok"
A few minutes later she calls back
R: "Do i have to come, i'm not feeling to hot (either the stomach flu or food poisoning) Can it wait?"
H: "Nope, you have to come over right now"
R: " I'll right, i'll be there soon"
15 minutes later
Robin comes walking in the door and sees Heather on the couch. (we wrapped papertowels with food coloring splotches on her leg, set ice on top of it, and placed crutches beside her)
R: "I knew it would be something like this...." :) He he he
H: "Yah, it we went cliff diving at the lake this morning, and....." (She and tiffany continue with a made up story that was all true except for her injuries part)
(I'm hidden around the corner and when she's has her back turned from me - looking at heather's leg- i come rushing around and quickly place my hands over her eyes....)
R: "Watch the glasses, watch the glasses!" (She glances over her shoulder as i slowly let go)
(double take!) "What? kacie? Kacie!
So funny. :) Too bad i couldn't stay and talk for very long. I had a babysitting job i had to rush off to. But i had to see Robin!
The rest of my story's aren't quite as funny. Usually just ran up to people and their like, "Whoa, your back!" and give me a quick hug. :) Ken and Dani Lyn's house was fun. I just bursted around the corner right before they were going to let Heather in (It was a very unexpected visit) and surprise! I'm home!
Grandma and Grandpa were way fun too. I just stood there- looking like an innocent little girl and there like "Kacie! What are you doing home? :)" Grandmas was so funny, she's like "I knew you'd somehow find your way back! (With Justin's return just a couple weeks away.)
Yup- it's been so fun. My ward was doing the same things. I started Young Adults and wow, i'm not used to that. :) But hey, it's cool. :)
