Day 6- Friday

We got to sleep in a little bit today. Today we got the wonderful opportunity to do whatever we wanted with out school group and teacher. We decided to go to the Holocaust Museum, which is very, very touching. I still cannot comprehend all that happened during that time. It's utterly... disturbing.

Next we went over to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum where we grabbed some lunch and visited all the sights. Honestly, it's not my cup of tea to be fasinated with stuffed animals and rocks and plants. But there was some very interesting sections. They had this whole exhibit with GORGEOUS jewlery. A lot of it was worn by someone important.

Having a little fun... :)

That's right, it's exactly what it looks like :) How cool that the Smithsonian Museum of American History thought this was important enough to include. There were so many sights and sounds i can hardly begin to choose a favorite. But this was a definate plus. :)

Next, we caught the Metro again and popped out next to the White House. So neat! Like the President or not, it's still really cool to visit. We didn't go inside but got some great photos around the area.

This lady right here has been protesting in the same spot since the 1980's. First Amendment rights in action right across from the white house. Way cool!

Later on that night we had a farewell banquet. Nothing fancy. But some girls were dressed very immodest. My friend Austin thanked me for dressing modest. Sweet guy....

Wow, girl, you have been busy blogging! Good for you! I love seeing all these pictures from your D.C. trip. We loved the Holocaust Museum too, but now apparently I've got to go back so I can go through the Newseum! I think it's awesome that you had the opportunity to go again. Do you feel like you appreciated it way more this time than when you went in Jr. High?
