Knowl Lake. Beautiful, secluded, packed with fish... The Birtchers had a blast camping and fishing. The only thing to make this Kacie's paradise... a shower and make up! By the end of the week, covered in dirt and grim... we staggard back home only to unload, reload, and prepare for our next adventure, Apache Lake. Mom and i were on a reading frezy! I brought two books, one half way through and the other 500 pages long, sure i have enough to read for the week, WRONG. I read both within the first 2 1/2 days. only to have 3 days of misery as i have nothing to read and much i want to read. Oh well. The boys were religious in fishing everyday (sometimes twice a day). Mom, me, and the younger kids finally got sick of it and went back to camp. They did catch quite a lot, even the younger kids. we had a fish fry two nights in a row. Most were catch and release. It was a really nice camp area that we were in, only about 3 other campers off in there own area, that was until the day before we left. Everyone seemed to have gotten off of work for the fourth, and frantically grabbing camp sites, so our secluded area suddenly had tents and RV's parked in all directions. :( Faith was so funny, one by one as they made there way around us, Buddy our dog started barking hysterically (very protective of us you see). Faith got so mad at the intrusion and was ecouraging Buddy to bark while we were trying to calm him down. "Yah, keep barking buddy! Maybe it'll scare them away." "Maybe one of them is allergic to dogs..." She was so angry them all, and i agree, it's wasn't plesent going to the bathroom and having to look all around at the other camp sites to make sure it was safe to go. :) Thank goodness it was our last night there. My dad's brother surprised us by showing up in the middle of the night on his motorcycle that night. I remember waking up going outside and wondering who the harry old guy with glasses was (i didn't have my contacts in yet). My dad and him do look quite a lot alike. :) Anyways, we packed up... and came home... just in time too. As we are driving out, the narrow road was packed with anxious campers looking for a camp site. We got out just in time! thank goodness!

Very fun! Good timing by you guys to take off before the 4th. You were relaxing and reading while we were packing and moving. Bet you wish you'd been here, huh? ;)
