it's so funny, when we open the door to let him outside, he just shrinks back to the end of his kennel so we can't reach him and plays the "innocent" act hoping that he can stay in for the coolness. :) This is one smart dog.

The 9th member of the family... offically.
Buddy has become one of the most pampered pooch in Arizona. :) Since it only reaches around 115 degrees daily, we have been trying to keep him cool; anything from ice, pools, fans to bringing him inside the house. Mom strictly declares that he is not an inside dog and that if he comes in he must stay inside his kennel, which is fair. But the funny fact is, he's loves coming indoors. He could sit there for hours doing nothing but watch the kids play gamecube to dress up (which we don't let him, don't get the impression that he's lazy cuz he's far from that, he just knows that he has to behave or out to the heat he goes). Of course we let him out of his cage occasionally inside, he just lays around on the cool tile and jumps around giving everyone hugs and kisses...

Ever since our little camping trip that we brought him with us, he's been so much more a part of the family. And since he's inside a lot more during the day, he gets so much more attention than just staying in the backyard. He's learned fast and has become more adapted to strangers. Before he would jump and bump and bark at them but now, he holds still, waits for you to love him and pet him, with an occasionaly kiss :) We love our little pooky. :)

Great posts. I've been busy lately and haven't had the time to check. I loved going back and catching up on what you guys have been up to. Thanks for blogging--and doing a good job of it too. Sounds like you have had a great time this summer and I'm glad we are getting more skiers up. I wonder if I could still do it (well just the spinning flips anyways--haha), after all, its been a while.
well, why not come down and see if the old man still can get up ski's?Wouldn't that be fun to watch. :P Come down and come on the lake with us! The water's great!
