Dad. Where are we?....

This is in Febuary so don't get confused. Lesson Learned: Never trust your dad to plan the family adventure with a "really cool" hiking book. Although the hike was actually really neat... a supposed total of 6-7 mile hike resulted in a 9-10 mile round trip without reaching our planned destination. The writer of that book should be sued! :)
It was a really great day for the hike though. And Cold shockingly enough. We were in the middle of the desert.

It was shortly after this picture that we turned around and came back out. We got to this point and realized where we wanted to go was about another few miles across some rough terrain. And the worst part of all was that about two seconds later i was destined to slip and fall into some dead catus growing out of a rock. Yah, hiking 5 miles out from the bottom with a handful of catus throbbing and swelling because your mom forgot to pack some twisers was a great way to spend my day off. What a day.
